This All Child Playscape was designed with multisensory needs as the main goal giving this community a playground that includes every child!

The City wanted a truly unique, destination playground that also offered fully inclusive play for children of all abilities. What came of this dream is the newly constructed All Abilities Playground at Heather Farm Park that opened in October, 2014!

This All Child Playscape features combination surfaces of concrete and rubberized pathways, along with engineered wood fiber to enhance accessibility. Integrated shade creates cool zones within the play space. Ramped wheelchair access extends to the 3’ level, where a child can then transfer to the 4’ level and have a choice of two slides.
Swinging and a music center add to the variety of this multisensory play environment for all kids.

Fully Ramped Playground with Multiple Points of Entry – Because every part of the playground should be accessible to all! Play Equipment for Kids of All Ages & Abilities – Because every child should be able to participate. There will be slides, tunnels, and swings (lots of swings!)
